I was curious as to what the oil and traditional energy providers thought about the state of the energy grid. This is what I found.

If the antiquated energy grid went down, the country could expect to experience economic losses, national security risks, threats to the healthcare system, as well as personal devastation...

"Transportation planners in rural Western states are claiming that the Biden administration’s plan wasn’t created with their states in mind and are pleading with federal regulators to extend their funding deadline that passed on Monday. State transportation planners could lose up to tens of millions of dollars of federal grant money to improve infrastructure if they cannot adhere to the federal rules that they consider illogical due to their state’s geography, grid capacity or local regulations."

“Farmer Frugal” indeed!
Driving as fast as 5mph doesn’t require all of the same expensive sensors that get packed into a car doing 65mph. Autonomous tractors in the rural environment can create more cost effective applications; this will allow farmers better utilization of their land and potentially higher yields. The Monarch is aimed at $68,000 cost.
The broadband densification model needs to follow suit in order to allow the IOT connectivity in rural areas to happen. Dropping self-powered net-zero towers in places and not relying on a taxed and tired energy grid makes a lot of sense allowing communication companies to drop into those spaces allowing farmers to utilize new technologies like the Morarch tractor that rely on that connectivity.

Building the next-gen of infrastructure requires us to be able to demonstrate our technology by bringing it to people so they can “kick the tires”. 200’ towers are so very unwieldy to ship. What’s the solution? Shrink ‘em down so they can travel!
