Aradatum, a subsidiary of CGE Energy, Inc. (OTCPink: CGEI), recently raised $10 million in private capital to develop a self-powered macro cell tower that combines wireless communications and electric vehicle charging.
The money will finance the design of the tower, pilot production and deployment. Aradatum has four towers waiting for testing and deployment, heading to Maine, Kansas, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and another location to be determined.
Powered by a vertical wind turbine, towers also provide electric vehicle charging in rural areas. U.S. manufacturing and engineering partner Roush will finalize the pilot installations for the towers. Aradatum secured six patents in the U.S. and internationally to date with several more awaiting approval.
